English FILM LANGUAGE

-What Am I Learning?
I am learning about film languages and film study.

-How does this work show my learning?
This shows my learning because I have written my definition of the words.

-What am I wondering as a result of this learning? I am wondering how many or if there are any more film languages. Body Language- Movements and posture that attitude and feelings are communicated. 

Costumes- Clothing that is a specific style or represents a culture, character, etc. 

Hairstyles- a certain way that a person's hair is styled, cute, worn or arranged.
 
Make-up- items that are applied to the body to make designs or cover up certain things.

Colour- An object of producing different sensations on the eye.

Lighting- Used to set the mood and make things stand out.

Props- Used to make a scene more interactive, realistic, or interesting.

Settings- Used to often continue the story and describe the surroundings.

Dialogue- a conversation between two or more people as a feature in a film, book play.

Sound Effects- Used to create an effect or make something more interesting. 

Music- Used to set a mood for the audience and describe an ongoing scene.

Silence- Used to create a pause or create a serious atmosphere. 

Symbols- Often an object, used to suggest new ideas.

Special FX- Used to create a more realistic look for the film.
