Aim: To see which chemical
mix creates the most gas.

Hypothesis: (What do I think will happen)
I thought that the gas would make the balloon grow really big and that the liquid would rise a lot.
Materials:
  1. 3 bottles 
  2.  tsp baking soda
  3.  vinegar 
  4.  soda water
  5. cup 
  6.  balloons
  7. funnel 
  8. yeast
  9. sugar
  10. salt
Steps:
  1.  grab the bottle make sure it's empty and dry
  2.  grab your funnel and balloon
  3.  Get the first ingredients 
  4.  Pour 2 tsp of the yeast and 1 tsp of sugar, make sure to pour it in one at a time.
  5.  Then wait for it to rise.
  6.  for the next experiment do the same thing with the salt and baking soda for the other 2 ingredients

Conclusion: What have I learned from my experiment. The mixture of baking soda and vinegar makes a reaction to each other creating more gas than most other mixes. The mixture of salt and normal soda makes the little amount of gas compared to the baking soda and vinegar. In conclusion, if u want to create more gas I would recommend baking soda and vinegar.

~:Storyboard Creation:~

For art hururmanu, We are creating a stop motion based on manaakitanga. We have decided to create a stop motion movie about kindness because it has something to do with manaakitanga. I'm excited to do this task because I think it will be interesting and very fun. Our story\stop motion is about four girls getting lost in a forest. They use kindness and determination to find there way back and on there way back they stubble across challenges and obstacles on there way back.

Skittles Experiment.


Skittles


Aim: To separate colors from skittles by using chromatography.

Materials;

1. Skittles 
2. Water
3. Petri Dish


Process:

Step 1: Get the dish.
Step 2: Put the skittles in the corners of the dish.
Step 3: Tip the water in the middle.
Step 4: Wait until the color spreads.
Step 5: Then eat them if you please.

Conclusion: What have I learned from this experiment?
That when you mix water with skittles the color gets drained out. When you eat the skittles with no color it taste very very gross.

Poverty App

For the past few weeks, we have been working on an app or game I have been working on an app. How we started making the app as we researched a social study I chose Poverty. I researched stuff about poverty like what is it? how can you help prevent poverty?  and questions like that. I chose an app because I thought it would be the easiest way to show what I found out about poverty. Here is my app.

Spin softball

Today at school we made our own games. Here are the rules to my game and how to play. Spin softball
Equipment
Softball bat and bases
Objective
The aim of the game is to see if you can hit the ball you have 4 tries to hit it .there will be two teams there is one runner in the batting team the fielders have to try and get them.
Winning
The person first to 15 points wins
Scoring
To score a point you have to hit the ball as hard as you can if you hit it 5 points if you miss the ball the other team gets 6 of your points.
If you hit the ball before the fielders catch the runner they will get 5 points.
If the fielders catch the ball it's worth 2 points.
If the fielders catch with one hand on the full it's worth 7 points.
Rules
One team has to spin while trying to hit the ball
4 misses then switch to a fielder
If you catch the ball on the fall you get a 2 points
If the fielders catch 4 runners then its switch over
How to catch the runner is you have to throw the ball to the person at the base there running too.

Community impact project-

Today we decided to do some cleaning and some plumb picking. The first thing we did was go to the garden we started by picking heaps of plumbs for something were going to make i'm not sure what were making yet but it sounds like it will be yum. After plumb picking we started cleaning up the whole compost area. We started off by picking up all the rubbish in the area while others picked up the big sticks, after we completed that we started moving all the leafs into a pile we finally completed the cleaning up so we got to look around and look for some bugs there were lots of cool and creepy little insects.

Cleaning The School

Today for the community impact project thing in period one and two we decided to clean ALL of the rubbish up in the court and on the field. We manged to actually clean up so much. I walked around with Heaven, Kaedun, John and Ranit. We filled two big sacks.
