Hurumanu Poem

Today in power to the people Hurumanu we were writing poems form a template, here is the poem I wrote. Jasmine-
I look in the mirror and what do I see?

A funny, thoughtful, bold person looking back at me.

I’m really good at cheering people up.

And love doing creative things.

I spend lots of time thinking about the future.
And can’t wait for something that is an adventure.      

I could improve on believe in myself 

And controlling my temper is hard for me, 

But I know if I try, I’ll be the best I can be.

Te Manu Tuku Tuku poem

For literacy at our awesome new school. We got to write a poem about how we feel what we hear, see, smell, touch and another I feel. We also had to have alliteration and a simile. My poem has everything.

I feel glad to be one of the first students at the new school.
I hear all my noisy friends chatting like a monkeys pandemonium.
I see all the bright wonderful smiles on everyone's faces.
I smell all the new nice furniture.
I touch the silky, soft, smooth walls.
I feel lucky to be at this wonderful, awesome school.
The school is really cool.
