For the second day of Music Hurumanu, 7/8Ts and 7/8 Mt started off with one of our teachers Mr Mitchell brought in a few guitars, An Electric guitar, Backpack Guitar He also played a tune on each of them. He played all the guitars and told us about how different in the sound. He also told us the types of guitars and what they are used for.
For our glossary, we had to find the meanings for a bunch of items for guitars. Here are a few of our glossary words.
Whammy Bar- The Whammy bar is a bar on an electric guitar that quickly changes string tension.
Capo- The Capo is used to hold down all 6 of the strings at the same time.
Sound Hole- The Sound Hole is a hole in the body of a guitar where the sound comes from.
